Avishek has extensive hands-on experience with off-grid solar PV systems in Nepal and other international markets. His experience includes various roles in industry, government, and academia.  Avishek has been involved in over 300 solar off-grid projects that include installations on hospitals, commercial buildings, and government facilities.

He has been a pioneer in the development of solar in Nepal with his involvement in the largest rooftop solar PV system, first rooftop grid-tied system, multiple rural village electrification projects, and the installation of solar bus stops.  He has also authored several solar PV related papers and publications.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and diploma in Management from Kathmandu University and master’s degree in Renewable Energy from Murdoch University, Australia.
